...Piel como mapa, de cicatriz a cicatriz, cartografía de una vida.
PELLEJO nace como reflejo de una obsesión personal con el cuerpo, su perfección, su deformación, su significado, tanto desde su exterior como desde su interior.
En PELLEJO la artista expone sus experiencias personales; un cuerpo que ha vivido severas transformaciones, y que como consecuencia de ello en su piel, y en su cuerpo, han quedado marcas y cicatrices.
La acción se presenta como una respuesta ante los estándares de belleza e ideal del cuerpo femenino impuesto por los medios en la sociedad actual buscando su liberación, reconociendose y reconciliandose con su propio cuerpo.

A fuerza de mecanismos publicitarios repetitivos, terminamos comprendiendo que nosotros no debemos ser como somos, sino que debemos ser como otros.
Todos caminando bajo los mismos patrones llegan al mismo sitio. Y buscando diferencias terminamos absorbidos por una masa que reacciona igual y mediante la repetición anula la alteridad y el disenso.
Existe una apropiación de estéticas foráneas que buscan eliminar las diferencias. Esta tendencia incluye la masificación y el movimiento hacia pequeños ejércitos de ciudadanos uniformados, donde lo que se busca es que se siga un patrón o modelo tipificado por los medios.

The skin as a map, that scar by scar, makes the mapping of a lifetime.
PELT Proyect was born as a reflection of a personal obsession with the body, its aesthetics, its distortion, its meanings, both from the outside and from the inside.
The artist in PELT exposes her personal experiences with a body that has experienced severe transformations, and that as a result, her skin and body have left a trace.
PELT comes as a response to the standards of beauty and the ideal of a female body imposed by the media in our society today; seeking for her release, recognizing and reconciliating with her own body.
